A Cove dishwasher is a 24-inch built-in model, panel-ready or fitted with a stainless door panel kit, and the maker designs it to coordinate with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances in the same kitchen.

Cove builds 24-inch built-in dishwashers, all panel-ready, which take a cabinet front or a stainless door panel kit with a tubular or Pro handle. Inside, full-extension racks adjust for load size, with fold-down tines, an upper silverware rack, and holders that grip stemware so wine glasses ride steady through the cycle. A range of wash cycles covers everything from a heavy pots setting to a quick refresh, and several run at a low enough sound level to fade into an open kitchen. Filtration is designed to run quietly and keep water clean across the cycle rather than relying on a food grinder. Because Cove shares its design language with Sub-Zero and Wolf, the fronts, handles, and reveals line up when the three are installed together in one kitchen.

The detail that carries the wash

The DW2451WS adds a built-in water softener, which adjusts the salt it uses to the hardness of your water. The racking is the other half of the story: full-extension slides, adjustable rows, and fold-down sections let a load be arranged around the dishes actually in it rather than forcing them into fixed slots. Multiple filtration stages keep the recirculated water clean through long cycles. Together the softener on WS models and the flexible interior aim at the same result, glassware and everyday dishes that come out consistently clean and dry.

Cove builds dishwashers and nothing else. The current family carries DW2451 model numbers:

  • DW2451, panel ready. The base model. It carries the ENERGY STAR mark.
  • DW2451WS. Adds a water softener that adjusts the salt it uses to the hardness of your water.
  • ADA height versions (DW2451/ADA and DW2451WS/ADA) for accessible counters.
  • Stainless door panel kits in standard and ADA heights, each with a tubular or Pro handle.

Inside, Cove lists three spray arms with 45 jets, a four-stage fine-mesh filter, 12 wash cycles with 6 add-on options, and drying by hot rinse and fan assist. Racks include a height-adjustable middle rack, fold-down tines, an adjustable stemware rail, and an upper silverware rack. A conductivity sensor in the base stops a cycle if it detects a leak. The earlier DW2450 is now a legacy model.

Who a Cove suits

A Cove makes the most sense in a kitchen already planned around Sub-Zero refrigeration or Wolf cooking, because the stainless kits and handles are made to match them. It also suits millwork-heavy kitchens, since every current model takes a custom panel. If you have hard water, ask about the WS version, which adds a water softener.
