What Coyote makes
Coyote Outdoor Living makes gas grills for outdoor kitchens. Coyote's home page lists the CL-Series in 36 and 42-inch models, the SL-Series in 30, 36, and 42-inch models, a Gen 3 grill series, and a Combo Flat Top Grill. Coyote says each grill is built from 304 stainless steel, with cast stainless burners, grates, and parts, and its warranty covers outdoor gas grills and side burners.
Gas grills for built-in islands
Coyote's built-in grills hang from the countertop without support under the grill, and Coyote says there is no need to box in the grill frame. Its installation rules turn on what the island is built from, so the first decision is the grill and the materials around it. Coyote's warranty excludes labor and rental or commercial use.
Coyote lines and categories
Coyote's grills, as its site lists them:
- Gas grills. The CL-Series is listed in 36 and 42-inch models, and the SL-Series in 30, 36, and 42-inch models. Coyote's blog also mentions a 28-inch C-Series grill, a 30-inch S-Series grill, and an S-36.
- Combo Flat Top Grill. Coyote's home page describes it as two surfaces.
Coyote says each grill is built from 304 stainless steel, with cast stainless burners, grates, and parts, a double-walled stainless hood, a continuous weld on the grill box, interior lighting, Heat Control Grids, and an independent burner ignition system. It says the S-36 adds ceramic briquette-style flame burners, a rapid-sear infrared burner, and a rotisserie with a rear infrared burner.
Who Coyote suits
Coyote suits a cook planning a built-in grill station or a full outdoor kitchen around one grill brand. The first decision is the grill and what the island is built from, because Coyote's installation rules depend on whether combustible material sits near the grill. Bring your island drawing and the materials you plan to use, and the Roseville team can go through Coyote's installation guide with you. A licensed gas fitter runs the gas line, and your local building department sets the code.

Coyote questions
What grill series does Coyote make?
Coyote's home page lists a CL-Series in 36 and 42-inch models, an SL-Series in 30, 36, and 42-inch models, a Gen 3 grill series, and a Combo Flat Top Grill. Its blog mentions C-Series and S-Series grills, and its support site covers a Coyote pellet grill.
What warranty does Coyote list for its gas grills?
For its outdoor gas grills and side burners, Coyote lists 5 years on cooking grids, 2 years on the heat control grid and on electric and plastic components, 1 year on ignition systems and valves, and a limited lifetime on stainless steel burners and on the stainless steel frame and housing. The warranty excludes labor and rental or commercial use. Ask the Roseville team for the sheet for your model.
Do I need an insulated jacket for a Coyote grill?
You need one when the island uses combustible material near the grill. Coyote says that if combustible material is within 24 inches of the grill frame, you must use the correct Coyote jacket, and that the grill warranty will be voided without a jacket on a combustible island. Ask your builder or local inspector which materials count as combustible on your island.
