Three choices shape a Whirlpool laundry purchase: how the washer cleans, which format fits the room, and what the maker's page says about the exact model.

• Top load with agitator or impeller. Some Whirlpool top-load washers, such as the WTW8127LC, offer a removable agitator, so the same washer can run a conventional agitator wash or a smooth impeller wash. Check each model's wash action.
• Laundry center. A laundry center stacks a washer and dryer in one footprint with one vent run; the trade is a single capacity for each machine. Whirlpool lists laundry centers such as the WETLV27HW, and the door swing matters, so measure the closet with the door open, not just the cabinet.

Read capacity with its standard. The same washer can show a U.S. DOE figure and a larger IEC figure used for Canada. Check the warranty text on the maker's page for your exact model, because a feature list and a warranty statement are different documents.
