Appliance Delivery and Installation

Delivery and installation options

DreamHome Appliance Group offers drop-off delivery, full-service delivery, and standard installation. The team at our Roseville showroom can help you sort out which option makes sense for your kitchen before anything is scheduled.

Here is what your home needs before the truck arrives, what to check on delivery day, and where a licensed trade has to take over.

Three service levels

Our published policy names three options: drop-off delivery, full-service delivery, and standard installation. What each one covers depends on the appliance and the home, since a column refrigerator and a dishwasher are very different jobs. Ask the Roseville team what each option covers for your appliance and your kitchen, and get the answer before you choose.

What to confirm when you order

  • Which service level you've chosen, in writing.
  • Whether your old appliance will be hauled away.
  • Which connection parts are needed (water line, gas connector, dishwasher kit) and who supplies them.
  • Stairs, long carries, or tight turns on the route to the kitchen.

Before delivery day

Measure the path. Built-in appliances are large and heavy. Thermador lists its 36-inch Freedom fresh food column at a net weight of 406 pounds. Measure every door, hallway, stair, and turn from the street to the kitchen, then compare them with the dimensions on the spec sheet. Tell us about anything tight when we call to schedule.

Clear the space. Empty the opening and move furniture out of the route.

Have the hookups ready. Each appliance's installation guide shows what it needs and where. Typical items:

  • Gas: a gas line at the range or cooktop location with an accessible shut-off valve.
  • Water: a water line with an easily accessible shut-off valve for refrigerators with ice makers or dispensers and for dishwashers. Sub-Zero's installation guides say not to use self-piercing valves.
  • Drain: a drain connection for the dishwasher.
  • Electrical: a dedicated circuit and outlet where the spec sheet calls for them. Sub-Zero's Classic and Designer installation guides both require a 115-volt, 15-amp dedicated circuit.
  • Venting: hood ducting run to the hood location and finished to the outside.

Finish the cabinetry. Built-in and panel-ready appliances need the opening built to the spec sheet and the custom panels made before installation. Read about planning the opening and panels for a built-in refrigerator, the gas range installation checklist for ranges, and our dishwasher panel and opening guide.

On delivery day

Check every box before you sign, even if the installation is weeks away. Under our policy, cosmetic product damage and property damage must be reported at the time of delivery. Signing the delivery document means you accept the condition of what you received.

If a product is damaged when you inspect it, refuse the delivery. Anyone who signs on your behalf takes on the same responsibility, so brief them before the truck arrives. The full wording, including what happens if a damaged product is accepted, is in our delivery and installation policy.

One manufacturer note for drop-off deliveries: Sub-Zero's installation guides say a refrigerator that has been on its back or side must stand upright for at least 24 hours before power is connected.

Check every box before you sign, even if the installation is weeks away.

Old pipes, hoses, and venting

Our policy states that we do not accept responsibility for damage to pre-existing old or corroded pipes, hoses, faulty connections, or plumbing or venting that is not up to code.

If your kitchen has an old shut-off valve, a corroded supply line, an aging gas connection, or a vent run you are unsure of, have a licensed plumber, electrician, or gas fitter bring it up to code before installation day. Your local building department can tell you whether the work needs a permit.

Scheduling

We contact you to schedule delivery once the item arrives at our warehouse, and estimated dates can change without notice. If the appliances are part of a remodel, tell us where the project stands so delivery lines up with finished cabinets and ready hookups.

Delivery and installation FAQ

Do you install the appliances you sell?

Standard installation is one of the three service options in our published policy. Ask the Roseville team whether it covers your specific appliance.

Can someone else accept the delivery for me?

Yes, but whoever signs is responsible for checking every product first.

What happens if an appliance arrives damaged?

Refuse the damaged product at delivery. Damage has to be reported then under our policy.

Does installation include replacing an old water line or gas valve?

Our policy does not accept responsibility for damage to pre-existing old or corroded pipes, hoses, or faulty connections, so have a licensed trade update old lines and valves before installation day.

When will my appliance be delivered?

We contact you to schedule delivery once the item arrives at our warehouse. Estimated dates can change without notice.
