What is the difference between an under-mount and a top-mount sink?
How the basin meets the counter. An under-mount is fixed beneath the counter surface, so nothing sits proud of it and crumbs wipe straight over the edge into the bowl. A top-mount drops in from above and rests on a visible rim. An apron-front replaces part of the cabinet face with an exposed panel and stands forward of the counter edge.
What is a workstation sink?
A basin with ledges built into its walls. Cutting boards, colanders, drying racks, and basin racks sit on those ledges, so prep and rinsing happen over the sink rather than on the counter beside it.
Should a kitchen sink have one bowl or two?
